What Musical Tables is
Musical Tables is a set of music games built to support the teacher in lessons for children from age 5, starting from the last year of infant school. It is organized in collections of audiovisual units: sounds paired with pictures, such as an animal, an instrument, a rhythm or a written note.
Every activity is based on analytical listening, memorization and music writing. The teacher can adapt each game to the level of the class or of a single pupil, and use the results to follow how listening skills grow over time.
Six ear-training games
-
Choose the sequence
Listen to a short sequence of sounds and pick the matching version among several written alternatives.
-
Transcribe the sequence
Listen, then rebuild the sequence by dragging the right pictures into the empty slots.
-
Write the names
Pictures appear one at a time: drag the correct name under each one.
-
Correct the error
The sequence on screen has one wrong element. Find it and replace it with what you heard.
-
Sound memory
A memory game played with the ears: turn the cards and match the sounds.
-
Verbal memory
The same memory game with written words on the cards instead of pictures.
Sound collections
More than 100 collections cover the main areas of music education, from everyday sounds to harmony:
- Ambient sounds, timbres: Farm animals, Singing Birds, Engines
